Katip - have you come across a wild lynx?

Here in Oklahoma we have a lot of wildlife.  A lot of my neighbours tell me that they have seen bobcats.  Not me, I would love to though!

I have told earlier here that we have them in the surroundings of our summer place and they come to our yard. They are preying raccoons, rabbits and other small animals. They are moving in the dark so it is not easy to see them. you can see tracks in the snow. They are common nowadays all over  southern Finland.

Thanks answering Iceage for me.Smile

Thanks Ingwe and Sassabuck.   I saw two of them last night, they were chattering away as they visited the pan...

It's interesting reading about how the lions became elephant hunters.

Some lions in the KNP have figured out that if they chase their prey onto the tar roads (made by man) they slip and are easier to catch.  Also, wild dogs have used the roads to help them ambush their prey.

most lions choose roads because they're easy for walking long ditances

I could see the white tail when it got close to the water.
