Remember to post which site you are referring to, NK for Nkorho, EP for Elephant Plains.

Happy camming, everyone!

By the way, Cerinth has started a new thread, HERE where people can sign up to start a "New Day".  If you would like to try it, but aren't quite sure how, talk to Barry or me.

A new feature here on NewDay - my choice for "Pic-O-The-Day" for yesterday.

by Cerinthe

And while I have your attention, if you haven't already checked out THIS THREAD concerning what the folks at Nkorho Lodge are doing for the kids at the Gottenberg Nursery School, please do!  We need your help!

Barry, do we want to know what "fix me up" means? At least there's no more relaxing place than the boma!

                  AFRICAM TRIVIA

AFTER READING THIS I CAN SEE WHERE A WATER

MONITOR LIZARD COULD LAY ON THE BOTTOM OF

NKORHO PAN FOR UP TO AN HOUR  AND RISE TO SURFACE

AND EAT ANYTHING IT WANTS TO

The Nile monitor, Varanus niloticus, grows to 6 feet. It is dark brown-black with pale to yellow bands and spots forming broken cross bands on the body.

It is distributed in Africa except the northwest. It stays close to water, and can dive for up to one hour. It is very agile on land and in the water. It is diurnal. Active during the day.

I lost both cams again.

That lizard sounds nasty - I wouldn't want to run into one. Look out, Jackson!

I would not get to see much of anything if you guys did not post those great photos.  Working interferes with my computer time.! lol.  On the weekends I often click in and see some of the animals in camera view.   I sit here like a dolt just mesmerized that I am watching those animals for real in far away Africa.

Animals at the Zoo are taken care of, but in Africa they are taking care of themselves. That is fantastic.  Nature is beautiful - but also brutal.

I just voted for The People's Choice Awards. I was looking at T.V. Guide.com and they had an ad for the awards, so I went there. I left some categories blank, like movies I've not seen, and hip hop or R&B songs.
