Hi all and thank you for the pics posted in the pics thread. With all this wind tonight at the waterhole I guess it will be hard to hear any critters walking about. Hope we get some good sights and sounds anyway. __________________

I am fascinated by snakes and held a 3 meter Burmese python in SA a year or so ago - it was fine except when it started constricting across my chest! You feel just how powerful they are then! I am wary of the poisonous ones, though - like to see them but watch where I put my feet in the bush!! edit to add - why chimpanzees? Is it because they are unpredictable? I have a "pet" viper at the shop and a couple of Cobra's. As a junior keeper part of my job was to keep the barrier areas clear, the chimps used to sit and stare at me, it always looked "cold" I could never work out what they were thinking; then they would just launch themselves at the enclosure where I was working. I don't do chimps, give me a cobra, much safer __________________
