Hi Sabine and thanks for making the new day threads. You were fast at locking the door in yesterdays chat or I was slow at hitting the submit button lol. Janice, I had not noticed the smears till the other morning after Jacques had taken the cover off and was what I think was securing the cam better to the tree. When he replaced the cover I saw the smears and hoped they were on the outside of it to easily clean off. I would think the zoomies can also see the smears and had hoped they would have tried to wipe them off when they were putting water in the pan. __________________

Hi all. Just before the new day a critter came ambling down from the mound to the finger, It sensed a jackal coming and didn't amble the other way!! Don't know for sure what it was, but my guess is either civet or honey badger, although I can't imagine a badger running like that.lol Click HERE __________________

a jackal had run across the road right in front of us. The jackal was then followed by a honey badger, then another As the badgers moved along the road so did the jackal, so thats all i know ( lol) they can run fast though (16–19 mph) for ... The honey badger of Africa
