That is sad, Zasu. Morris, at least it got a few sips, but you could tell it's posture was awkward and had difficulty reaching the "puddle".

Hate to see the giraffe leave thirsty, but maybe it's not far to another pan.

I read kind of a sad letter from an employee at Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.  They were talking about how bad it is for animals in the dry season and how desperate for water they are.   If they are lucky enough to have Lister pumps that work, then there is no fuel for them.   He said that animals know the sound of the pump and will come running out of the bushes when they hear it start up.   When it does start, the elephants hog it, and there is much shoving and arguing.   They will put their trunk right over the end and suck out every last drop.

Hi guys! That poor giraffe! I hope they can get some water in EP soon! Is that the pump I hear at NK?

Good morning Morris.  I shouldn't be here.   I should be getting ready for work, but I was so thrilled to see the giraffe.   He really seems put off by that little pool of water at EP.   It's so tempted to drink but the water must be very brackish and disgusting. 

It sounds like the pump going at NK though.
