A hilarious story of Boo, Barry. I needed it now! I´ll collect some info which could help to treat bears wiser here and your adresses were very good help. I took part in a discussion in the netpaper ( biggerst one in Finland). There were to sides for bears and against them. Nobody mentioned the jogger who must be shocked! Most people criticed exaggerating action and killing the bear family. Now we hopefully see some nice critters here and enjoy of them. EDIT: Boo is quite a chunk !

a true story about BOO THE GRIZZLY after BOO had escaped two times it was decided to - JUST BEFOR OPERATION HE RAN A SCAN OVER BOO FINALLY CAME BACK TO THE REFUGE ON HIS OWN AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS AND CLIMBED BACK UNDER THE FENCE AND IS STILL THEIR TODAY (true story also ) TO SEE - boo - BEING WEIGHED AND MEASURED
EDIT HERE IS MORE Boo eluded resort staff, who spent 480 man-hours tracking him and another 50 hours using a helicopter, until Friday morning, when the bear was spotted six kilometres west of the refuge. A tranquillizer was shot from the air. Five or six minutes later, the bear was down and four people loaded him into a sling. He was air-lifted back to the resort, where by early afternoon, Boo was groggy but recovering in a 12-metre-by-12-metre outdoor enclosure. __________________

Thank you Barry for the bear matters. I save the site into my favorites. There is so much interesting reading. The bear I told earlier, and her two cubs were shooted in the evening. I can´t understand. We can´t be proud at all how we treat our wild animals in Finland. HI IN BRITISH COLUMBIA mos problem bears are tranquilized or traped in bear traps and relocated but some are shot by conservation officers and police if they are in a town and a danger to public when i lived in the rockies we had BOO THE GRIZLY here are some of the live traps used to relocate bears __________________
