Sue, when you get here, someone on the other chat said that bird you heard is a Blacksmith Lapwing, or Blacksmith Plover...I had often heard it but never new what it was

Thanks, Janice! I really should learn the bird sounds - I'm just too lazy! I think I'll go take a walkabout in the backyard before supper. See you later on tonite!

Lots of ellie sounds at the waterhole tonight (I heard there was a herd there earlier but I didn't have the cam up at the time).  But now we're left with the end chopped off where the elephants usually come (I guess due to the water pipe's location).

Anyway...a bit ago I heard a very agitated elephant and some growling.   Did not sound like lion nor leopard.  Have no idea what it was.  I was hoping someone else had heard it, too, & posted here about it but no such luck!

I hope everyone is doing well.  I seldom get to come here....just really hard to be all the places that I want to be!

Sweet African Dreams!

Kathy

Hi Donna, Barry, Briter, Janice and anyone else that may be lurking.  So far tonight I have seen the ellies and a hyena, wonder what else was here that I missed or what will be coming.  Hope you all had a good day.

ETA:  Hi Morris!

Hi Janice, I had to tweep the hyena before I could comment here.  How are you?
