 Hi Hanneke. the movement sounds I hear are like elephant, rhino or hippo sounds.. that heavy sluffing along sound.. just heard tree being knocked down so thinking more elephant now. __________________

Hi Donna. I am not one of those that can tell the difference by the sound if side stripe or black backed jackal but do think we have a jackal out there somewhere nearby. Also heard other sounds like something moving around near the mic area but haven't seen it come into cam view yet... unless it is just more audio distortion I am hearing between the two cams up. __________________

I'll join you in wishing for a cat - I wonder what NK were doing moving the cam around a while back? That and the spotlight makes me wonder if they saw something from the lodge.

Hiya Hanneke and Penny. Tman, I'm not always sure about jackals either. I do remember one of the members saying the Side Striped "barks" and the Black-backed "howls and yips". Now, there have been times when the BB yip sounds very much like a "bark"
