Although, Dreamer, you could try and deter those nesting birds so that you can cut down that tree by trying some of these bird-deter balloons:

Yes, WW, Sheila, it did feel like a time warp. It was one of those "lucid dreams" the kind that feels very real, as if you're actually in the environment and with the people.

In reality, I think I'm just very, very tired. Walking in 90 degree F. temps works the body into fatigue pretty quickly.

Yes, I heard about it. Sounds cute but I shudder to think of all the balloons with strings and ribbons attached that will be going into the rivers and oceans this weekend  Although, the balloon lobbyists would have us believe otherwise, saying that laytex freezes and degrades into small leaf-like particles that are easily digested, I tend to lend more credence to the protective socieities:

Quote:
From the Audubon Society News: At best, free-flying balloons become litter; at worst, they jeopardize wildlife. Once airborne, they can travel far afield and often end up joining the flotsam riding the world's oceans. One that was unleashed in a science fair experiment to investigate wind direction was retrieved on an island 1,300 miles from its release site. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration identifies balloons as a commonly reported source of marine debris. In 1999 more than 32,000 were collected during coastal cleanups around the world. Balloons can choke, smother, or cause starvation. Their strings and ribbons can cause entanglement. In water, they bear an uncanny resemblance to jellyfish and other organisms eaten by turtles, fish, cetaceans, and shorebirds. Dead sea turtles have washed ashore with balloons hanging from their mouths, and scientists have found whole balloons and parts of balloons in whales during necropsies. Mass launches have been banned by numerous entities, including the states of Florida, New York, and Texas; the National Park Service; the White House; and even Walt Disney World and Six Flags Great Adventure. Balloons should be handled responsibly—don't release them—and disposed of properly.

How I wish people wouldn't release baloons. At least, remove the ribbons and strings. They end up inside poor wild birds and around their beaks and everything

OH my. I slept deep and long. Had weird dreams about some old friends who disappeared from my life when they moved and reinvented themselves.

Good evening everyone.

How I wish people wouldn't release baloons. At least, remove the ribbons and strings. They end up inside poor wild birds and around their beaks and everything.

Just send the Queen a card, ok?
