Hello, I'm chatting on Ustream chat often, and the last days I sometimes get an alert of a Trojan if I try to access the chat. Is it really a Trojan?

is this when you are opening the link that africam provides on the left side here?  Does it always happen?  Does it happen on other ustream chats?  Is your av program catching it and stopping it/isolating it?  Any other information you have such as file name would be helpful.  Are any others in the chat room also getting notified of a trojan when they enter the chat room via Africam?

The only info I can give u is what I said in the other posts and:

*it happens sometimes

*anti virus programm says "Very dangerous trojan"

*i dont know the file name because my anti virus programme blocks the africam chat site completely, so that I must try often until I don't get the alert.

I hope it's just a mistake of my anti virus programme.

I could't find any info with a google search for that name of trojan and you seem to be only one effected so far so hopefully it is just a false positive by your av program.  But I did send the info on to admin to look into it also.

Hi There

I am having major problems with chat over the last three days. I suspect a trojan.

Now my security is blocking the chat completely and I cannot get in.

I have had no security alerts from Avast or Superantispyware..... both are pretty good at picking up stuff.

For the last few weeks, after about 10 mins in chat my cursor has seemed to have a life of it's own. The screen has kept freezing and so I have just shut down to be on the safe side.

Any advice for me as to haow to get the chat window back> I have set my pop up blocker to allow African pop ups but still I cannot get into the chat window.

HELP!!! Please! I am suffering NK ^ EP withdrawal symptoms.!

i dont think this is a trojan/virus - especially if u have decent safeguards in place . The way u describe this it seems like flash is degenerating on ur system for some reason.

That could be caused by any number of things. In this case the chat software is flash based & actually belongs to a 3rd party and they are continually upgrading - that *might* be one avenue of investigation

is cpu/memory usage high ? u have done the old reboot of system ? does this happen in other browsers i.e. if u use firefox does it happen in microsoft IE?

Sorry Admin, I dont know who you are talking to ,but I 'll answer:

*no high cpu usage

*In IE: same as FF

Hi and thanks Admin.

I tried everything and nothing there helped!! HOWEVER.... being a resourceful little blonde I thought... Uninstall Flash then download again.... It was then I realised that Adobe had brought out a New Updated version 10 !!!

After attempting the download and unistalling twice.. I was about to give up when I thort " But it worked last week on the older version...."

So downloaded version 9 and BINGO! I am back in chat.

So once again thanks for your response and if anyone else can't access chat try unistalling Version 10 Flash and Download the older 9.

Lol Simples!!!
