Hey Dan Zebra

well 70 % wrong.

maybe its true that the noice of ellie's can be heard from miles away but it sure is not the feet.

 So the answer is NO

Elefant feet are build up with soft skin  ( Ivory) ?

almost Hobbit feet! ( LOL)

The skin on an elephant's foot is not made of ivory - although it is partially made up of Keratin which is associated with ivory; keratin is present in the hair, nails, hooves, teeth, horns and skin of every mammal - and the exoskeleton of some crusaeceans - but does not result in the production of 'ivory' except in the case of elephant and rhino tusks - and the tusks of other animals such as warthogs.

Elephants can communicate with each other for distances of up to 6 miles or more - via 'infrasound', which is inaudible to humans.

This consitutes a 'low rumbling'  which is thought to be communicated via the elephant's feet and which can be detected by other elephants/herds and other animals for many kilometers - possibly over many more distances than 6 miles.

Elephants have been proved to have at least 400 calls, of which only  1/3rd have been audible to human ears.
