Alf, I had the grandkids today too, it can be hard some days

+25 hot in sun when its out from behind the clouds-supposed to get more cloud and rain for 4 days  thats good and bad  the  good is its cooler  the bad is 3-4 girls in house wanting to watch 3-4 different t.v. channels

But most of the time it's fun

how is your son doing on day 2

He has been there since July 1st...last day is Aug. 31st. Is only home a short while and then off to university. He is getting along fine...loves it and is very busy..this is the time when they weed out those that may not make it through. Really pushing the physical fitness now and leadership...some have already gone because of attitude problems, etc.

im sure you will notice a change in him when he is finnished

Yes!..I imagine.  This is something he has wanted to do since he was about 12 or 13. He wants to be a combat engineer. He has 4 years of university ahead of him so that is good(for me) Won't have to worry about him going anywhere just yet.
