Since the change over, all I am getting on the camera's is the red X, on ALL of them.  I also cannot get the live streaming cam, either before or after the change over.  This is getting so frustrating!  I am able to get the introduction on the live streaming, then it says connecting to media, then ready and thats it!  This is the only site I have ever been too where I have a problem playing video's.  I am getting very fed up, specially as I can't even get the refresh cams now either.

Everyone- I have heard the cam is back up and running and I have since tried everything under the sun to get this thing running on my Mac but nothing has worked. I'm not an IT guru but I know enough that it shouldn't be this difficult.

I can see the video highlights but not the live cam. I just don't understand any of this!  I'm at my wit's end now.

I wish they would have at least made it easy enough for all of us to enjoy.  It saddens me that I won't be able to view the Africam anymore after being a loyal viewer for a year now because of the changeover but such is progress, I guess. Cry

sldasaro, you might want to ask member Emjay. She views the cam using a Mac. Unfortunately, right now the cam is down.

tdc, you might want to try again later as the cam is down now due to a power failure. Maybe the changes you made will work but for now no one is getting the cam. Sad

I have been coming to Africam since its inception, many years ago, so you can imagine how disappointed I am at this point!

I have no trouble getting to the home page, just seeing any of the camera's or the video.  I have turned off firewall, put in africam as a safe site, still no camera's or video.  The introduction plays fine, it then says connecting to media, then says ready and just sits there!  I am soooo frustrated.

I have a Mac and have done everything the moderators suggested, cleared my cache & history, updated the flip4mac, checked my firewall, etc., and still can't view the new cam. Haven't been able to for several days.

Any suggestions from other Mac users as to what to do?

I don't know why they switched but as a regular viewer for a year now and someone who has turned a lot of people onto this site, this is very frustrating as I'm at odds as to what to do. I even joined the forum to express my discontent at them for changing something that once worked very well.

this could be a firewall problem on your computer settings.  I had a similar problem on my secondary computer.  I temporarily disabled my firewall and was able to view the water hole once again.
