Interests
I love cats, big and small. I'm interested in cat behavior, and try to see connections in behavior between our household cats and cats in the wild.
I'm a big animal lover in general too. I enjoy watching them, and respect them all.
About
I'm Astrid, 45 years of age. I live in the Netherlands, together with my SO, 11 cats and 4 cockatiels.
I work voluntarily in a humane society, mainly with the cats there. My paid job is being a medical secretary, and I also help people with their "problem cats" since I'm also a cat behaviorist.
I've visited 2 big cat rescues in the US, and at one of them got to hold a baby Florida panther, and a baby tiger. I'd love to work with big cats someday. I probably should say "work for big cats someday", since I'd rather see them in the wild instead of being in a rescue due to people who wanted to keep them as their pet.
