My name is Charles.

Retired in 2008 after 32 years teaching in secondary schools.  I live in Stoke-on-Trent, an unusual place in that it consists of six towns stretched along a main road.  The area is otherwise known as "The Potteries" because it is the place where all types of ceramics and other pottery is made (Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Spode, etc.).  Stoke is roughly in the middle of England between Birmingham and Manchester.

I have a large garden which keeps me busy when I'm not watching Africam.   Nelson our tabby cat keeps us smiling!!
