The Africlub icon indicates the person is a member of Africlub. People became a member from making contributions to Africam. It was started over 3 years ago as a place to be more in the know of what is going on with Africam and to brainstorm suggested improvements in Africlub forum threads. Unfortunately participation dwindled and I don't know if that is currently even still in effect other then prior members having the icon on our IDs. I hope this helps answer your question.

Hi sivashashank, instead of email you can use the private mail feature here at africam. I will send you one so you will see you get a notice at the top of the window in the forum and by email (if you have your settings set to be notified). As for becoming someones "buddy" under the avatar box you will see icon of two people with a +, clicking that will request buddy status and then they need to approve it. Hope this helps.
