Hello. I have been a member of Africam for sometime now, but haven't fully explored the website. I am not sure if this comment area is for real-time chat or not. What is the tree branch in the waterhole and when was it put there? It has also been awhile since I have "visited" the WH. Thanks!

Hi Jazzie,

The tree branch was put there about a week ago in order to attract birds to the waterhole.

You can find the daily waterhole discussion thread here

... and, welcome aboard! Smiling

I like this page a lot, but i would say it´s not as thrilling as a real Live-Safari...

Didn´t know stuff like this is  possible these days... Cool

Good morning! We've been watching this site for about a week and a half now from Barrie, Ontario Canada. The whole family loves it. Last night we watched for about 6 hours, what we think was a hippo laying in the water on the Elephant Plains camera. Even had a safari truck drive up to it and watch for a few minutes. Finally shut the computer off and it was still laying there! Love the site!

Hello!  I watched that hippo for hours also! My son even watched.  I set my computer on EP, and my laptop on NP, side by side so I can watch both watering holes at the same time!  SO addicted!  What a wonderful site!

I have been a member about two weeks. I have tried several times to watch the drive. It runs for a couple seconds, then stops. I get a dark screen with message stating the drive is not working and to check back later. When I go back to the chat, they say it is on for them and they ave watched it. Can you possibly know what my problem is and help me with it? Thank you!! Elizabeth

Hi and welcome.  It may be that you are clicking the wrong button?  This video highlights are some clickable film clips of past sightings.  The video highlights (time warp) is not working currently. Nor is the Elephant plains cam but that one hopefully will be fixed soon.  The Nkorho Pan streaming cam is working though.  They don't have a "drive" but a static cam that is moveable by someone at the lodge there.  You can click the button below the cam viewer on the main page or the link on the left under streaming cams to get that cam as a pop up viewer.  You do need to have the latest adobe flash player installed on your pc.  Hope this helps.
