We returned from another wonderful trip to Nkorho on Sunday and, while some of my pictures were posted while we were still in South Africa, I shall post more in this forum, starting with a few of the Windmill Pride which turned up on the Kruger Park boundary on our second day.

This first picture was taken in the Kruger, soon after we left NK but I am putting it in because the Goliath Heron is such a beautiful bird.

We saw this elephant close to Nkorho and he drank at Three in a row Pan

Safari and Mafufunyana

and one of my favourite pictures of the two of them ..

Hi Pheonix.  No, There was nothing in the python's mouth.  It wasn't huge, around 5 feet or so, but it was a great sighting.  The pic I posted has it's tongue forking out - I have others of it just lying full length.

Penny2, is that a rat in the Pythons mouth or some other rodent ?

Oh Goody, more pics! Mafu is a good looking leopard. Very special that you can barely see his tongue. Smiling

More wonderful pics Penny!  I love the pics of the Windmill Pride how exciting to have them show up at the lodge while you where there.  Thanks for sharing.

Lovely pics Penny..thanks so much.  I can't imagine sitting in an open vehicle like that while lions, that could eat you, walk by right next to you

Iceage, I don't remember how close they were to our chalet. We, along with all the other guests and staff, were on the deck, having dinner. The lions were only there for a short while and they soon moved down to the waterhole where you all saw them on the cams.

We saw this python on Gowrie Main road

and two examples of how close to vehicles the animals get. The Windmill Pride and Mafufunyana
