I miss the rain! As the song goes, "it never rains in Southern California" I miss it for sure! So soothing.

That rain sounds absolutely wonderful! I hope it rains for a few more hours.

May Autumn gives way to winter; Rainfall drops off dramatically. White seringas in flower, wide range of autumn colours; kiaats begin seeding. Impala rut continues, internal migrations of animals towards warmer areas, whitebacked vultures breeding; wild dog breeding; elephants from Zimbabwe and Mozambique migrate to winter grazing grounds in northern Kruger. Temperature 13-28

What wonderful shots of our big lion!!!!! Wow did he ever have a big belly......anyone know what the kill was? It was a buff, but I thought I read from Ernst that it had died after suffering a broken leg and they left it for the scavengers to get rid of. Might be wrong. I'm pretty sure this was a different buff, brought down by the Mapogos, but near the same spot. I stand corrected
