If the hyena know that there are big male lions around, they may definitely get quieter. I was staying in an area where all the Mapogos were. I noticed how I heard much fewer hyena calls there were compared to a previous place I stayed where the there were no lions nearby. __________________

Hi Mike,
yes, that is normally true, remember in the EP Newsletter a couple months back, one hyaena apparently didn't take heed to the dangers of going near male lions for what ever it's reasoning was. It sure got snatched by one of them Mapogos and died a few days later from it's injuries. __________________

T-man... so you did hear a roar at EP? Thought I might of had but won't sure, real rough buffering today there. Marsha - hopefully some one will correct me if I'm wrong, but I first saw lion come in from left at Nkorho and leave back off to left also. UNLESS I missed part of it. __________________
