won't get techie but when it is "buffering" we aren't hearing anything and the video is frozen so not a buffering sound but a time when we are missing out on any of the sounds and sights that might be going on during that time.  at times it also gave the interesting effect of critters disappearing right before our eyes lol.

Just checking back in and T-man I know exactly what your talking about with ep - I have the same thing - wish we could get rid of the hum.  But hey, I am not going to complain the buffering is 200% improvement!

I am still a newby at camming.....wouldnt be able to tell the animals from buffer sounds on pc.......

Been in the african bush and the sounds are different to the cam....its something I still need to learn...with all the time I am spending here it wont take long

I was just wondering why it is so much noisier at EP than NK and was thinking it sounded like a motor too....

I also just want to say how great the cam is at EP tonight that it doesn't buffer anymore.  I no longer need that motor sound to know when it isn't in buffer mode so maybe we can get that shut off now? lol

I think that was jackal calls at EP... almost sounded like it was in a tunnel or something causing an echo effect a bit.  Hard to describe but sure sounded different to me.
