Yes I think the recent calls were from jackal, but don't know what it was that came soon after them.  It is sure nice that the wind died down so we can hear the animal sounds again.

wonder what got them calling out?  Just heard something else but don't know what it was making that sound in the distance.

Me too, Tourneyman. THe noise coming from NK sounds promising. I "think" I've detected hyena sounds, lion roars, and the startled bray of a zebra.....and then whatever that anxious howling was just now. Jackal?

ouch those jackals have a piercing howl, and my sound was up full blast
