     animals  and  lightning

i was in  national bison range in  montana

we were at the top of the refuge  2000 ft above

the main entrance to the  refuge  - we were taking pics

of  california    bighorn sheep   - when a sudden storm

moved in -  with lightning -  the sheep  moved  down

the hill side about    500ft   so they were off the open

ridge we were parked on-  we did the same

and  we left the sheep-   and    the next day  we were

talking to the park  wardens about the sheep

they  told us that  2 of the 5 rams  were killed by a lighning

strike  - they were  off the ridge  and were found  down

lower on the slope where we had last  seen them

but two of the 5 were  standing beside a barbed wire fence

lghtning hit the fence and killed two rams

                                    ( true stroy)
