Hi all. Just looked at the pics thread and looks like I missed the giraffes after I left in the morning. Thanks to those that posted pics. Looks like it was otherwise a day of birds and insects. Hope the new day brings us some great sightings. Good camming all. I will be lurking while getting other things done. __________________

Hi Maddie and Wild Dreamer. Just making a batch of chili. So in and out. Wild Dreamer, it was down to -22F and is now 21F that's 43 degrees warmer...a big improvement ...still cold out..but way better. I do not know how that kind of cold is tolerated. I lived in Baltimore Md for several years but I was much younger then ..and I hibernated all winter LOL..but I have never been in temps that cold before !!

My cell phone has a world clock on it, although not all countries and cities are included. You have to guess on some. But I've kinda got it down: Europe - 6-7 hours later, Australia - 16 or so hours later, South Africa - 8 hours later. Barry - 2-3 hours earlier. I'm surprised none of us has changed out clocks to cam time.
my clock is changed in my - my - your account to C.A.T. TIME __________________

Hi WD. It's a balmy 23 F today. Nothing's melting, but we mammals are no longer ice pops either.

Wasn't sure until they started swimming and quacking, but there are some ducks out there. __________________

Hi Tourneyman.
WD, it's all about fleece and quilting and layers. Problem is, by February or March, exhaustion from getting bundled up and then unbundled starts to set in and you just want Spring. My lug sole boots don't slide over the carpet in the car so it's harder to get in and out of the car, and it's cold coming out of the shower and and....and......you start to feel sad and mad and I think the crime rate goes up because you've been indoors with the same people for months and you just can't stand it anymore and the liquor cabinet is empty and you've put on five pounds and......and......what else? Oh! By January-February you're tired of mopping up messy boot prints on the floors and you have to get the car washed to get the salt off the undercarriage ........ but the snow is so pretty when it first comes down and I do love the change of seasons and lots of people love winter sports, like Canadians love their hockey. Ok. I think I'm done now and I can skip that psychiatrist appointment.
