Hi Chris , really sad about the Moose  :-(  . I also read today about a bear cub, in North Carolina USA ..evidently it had been hit by a car and the Mother was trying to get to it. Thanks to good people tho,  they came out and stopped traffic and gave the Mother bear the time she needed to go to her young.  The cub died but she had the chance to go and gather it. They said she had a second cub with her and I hope that one has a chance to grow up. It is sad that we have not yet learned to share space with the other creatures on this earth.  I think we learn a little more each day how to co -exist tho. Smiling

Neat caterpiller and beetle pics - make me shiver a bit, but they really are rather lovely!

Barry, you were asking me a couple of days ago if I had seen the moose again well..........Hubby came home a little while ago, said that the main road traffic just out of St. Albert was held up - someone had hit a moose and killed it in broad daylight - don't know any details concerning the driver/car, but as you will know there's usually a lot damage where they are concerned.  Derek is certain it must have been 'my' moose, as it was very close to where I saw it in the woods before.

Has made me quite sad - don't like seeing or hearing about that sort of road kill.
