Ha I warned Howwa it was going to be a quiet night at the waterhole because I was watching and look it is.  Lion roar here and there and a couple bokkie a rhino oh and a hyena not totally void of animals but darn close!  BTW thanks xxwhitexwitchxx like I said I 'm pretty prejudiced about the pic.  my 5 y/o little man lol

Well there is two things that stands out from all the story's we have heard and seen at the lodge:

1- The "Tokolosh": Some of the Shangaan staff members believe there is a small "evil animal" that looks like a small baboon it is called a Tokolosh.  I have asked some of them why they  are scared of this "evil animal" and the response was that they believe he will kill them.

They sleep with there beds on bricks under the beds legs for hight, since they believe it can't get on to the bed to kill them ore do evil to high.

2- Then there is the Chameleon: According to some of the Shangaan people they believe a Chameleon is evil aswell. For the next reasons: how can it change their colours?, and it never makes a sound. How can it not be evil then?

When we do have "Bush Braai" (BBQ) we will also sometimes spook the guest by sneaking up behind them and make some sounds ore pull their legs or grap their arms. All depends on the guests

 i got  lucky   just  finnished posting  the start of the days

went out on deck and had two sandhill cranes go over

they must have seen the bright blue tarp on the pool and thought it was water  because they started circling for 10 minutes

i will post the pic in - OCTOBER BIRDS -  tommoro

This is the plan.  I'm going to work out.  I'm going to make and eat dinner.  I'm going to take the laptop into the other room to watch the cams while I fold laundry.  I'm going to hope that tomorrow morning, my 401(k) will still exist.  I'm going to post/e-mail Happy New Year-Peace wishes to Jewish friends (Rosh Hashanah started today at sundown).  AND I EXPECT TO SEE SOME WILDLIFE AT THE PANS.  CRITTERS, DO YOU HEAR ME?

Did anyone see the sandy patch female this morning ( California time ) on the wildebeast kill at Djuma ( the drive )?

 I clicked on heard Rexon talking then they lost signal but, the female looked real close to the female we all saw here at NK 24 hours ago.

I love when they listen to us... now, a little louder big guy !

I was looking at the pics and had thoughts about them being not the same Lioness. This is proving it

LOLOL I left the computer and a lion shows up......of course!!!

Seems that roar was closer that what I heard earlier.
