just did free test down load - 157 kbs upload - 29kb/s is this good bad average ?? thanks to anyone that can tell me
Hi Barry, you want the good news or the bad news? the good news is if you are dial up you are getting twice what dial up max is. (56kbps) bad news is I don't think you can get the cams at the rate you showed. I have problems with if the rate drops below 900kbps or so but other stuff is also using bandwidth on my pc too. Back when it was windows I think it was best viewed just the cam at 350kb or so as a minimum. As a general rule.. your upload should be 1/10 of your max download speeds. I have cable that advertises 5000 kbps speeds... I just did a check on speedtest.net to my closest check point and came back with 2973 kbps download and 537kbps upload which is about my normal when I check it. Like gas mileage rarely do you get what they advertise lol. Hope this helps. hi thanks - im on satelite feed and its 1.5 kb/s were paying for at $150.00 a month they replaced modum said our dishwas inline but at night i have bad cams freezing like last night every 10 seconds- and it was taking me from 5-10 minutes to post a cam pic or chat

Howwa, how much did you get? Nine to ten inches of fluffy snow. The heavy snow where the street and driveway intersect is the biggest problem....But its beeeaaauuuuutiful!! __________________

Barry I think you mean that you are paying for 1.5MB download speed max which is the norm for regular broadband. Mine was put up to 5MB from 3MB when I got the internet phone service from my cable company added. You didn't say how you tested your speed but hope you used a server closest to you. For example if you had used a new york server site your speeds would be lower then using one in Washington.
