Thanks.....I'm kind of a picture freak I had snapped many more but picked a few.  That baby was the cutest!  When rhino was coming out of bush I thought something (maybe baby)was by it....and then zoomie came and sure enough.  Glad Mom was good and kept babe back while the ellies were there!

I've got both cams up again now. Wouldn't work when I just clicked on the play button; had to refresh the page.

Campfire is talk about anything and everything,  waterhole is cams, sightings, general information about critters(but we have been known to stray)

It's always been my understanding that this thread is for discussions related to sightings at the waterholes (and we can say Hi/bye here too). The Campfire thread, I believe, is for off-topic, chewing-the-fat kinda stuff. To be honest, I probably should use the latter thread more but I just hate having to go back and forth.

It would be awesome to have a live chat for everyone and everything so we didn't have to choose between forums and wouldn't have to keep refreshing all the time.

            THE IMPORTANCE OF  ELEPHANT DUNG

The digestive system of an elephant isn't very effective and food passes through the system quickly ensuring that the dung still has a great deal of nutrients in it, providing for a host of animals. Warthogs, baboons, monkeys and many bird species can be observed scratching around in a dung pat looking for seeds, fruit and particles of leaves and grass.

Dung is also essential for the propagation of numerous plant species. Birds and other species feed on fruits and move off into another area where they will release the half digested seeds in their dung. The seeds will germinate, thereby ensuring the propagation of the species.

i have watched the  horn bill   several  times  shredding the

elephant dung and picking out  - what ever is in it
