Strange how the critter sightings have changed at NK. Use to be we saw lions often and leopards rarely. Now it is just the opposite. Wonder if the lack of lions in the area is due to the Mapogos vast range? If it is, then they should at least make an appearance once a month or more to compensate us. __________________

anyone who thinks the volume isn't high enough at NK needs to turn up their speakers lol.. I am using headset now and that about blew out my ears and if it was from the ones that walked by they are off to the left of the cam away from the mic tree lol. __________________

Actually Tman that last furball was a little easier than most of the blobs. I could tell mostly by it's shape, the tail set and when it walked towards the cam you could even see the dark eye mask like a racoon has. LOL Oh my, what are those pesky hyenas up to? Did I see tails curled up? Excited or in attack mode? heehee __________________

the pics of the civet on the database while drinking does look similar but the one where it is standing up makes it look completely different. The ones that are id'd as civet that I have been seeing moving seem to slink lower to the ground with shorter legs or at least that is what it seems like with the night cam to me. But looking at mongoose pics the mongoose seems to be much thinner appearing then the civet so that could be the key for ID purposes too I guess. Just had hyena walk by in front of the cam at NK __________________

You'd think they'd have found the thread directed at them by now. :-\
I've begun to wonder if I'll ever see a lion via cam; have no doubt one will finally show up while I'm at work or asleep or.......haa.
Have a strong yearning to see them as well as cheetah.
