"Can anyone tell me, have those two power lines been in the background at NK all this time and I just didn't see them?  So much for being an observant Africam Addict, eh?

=o)"

That actually is just a reflection off of the housing around the camera.   I've never figured out why it shows up some nights & not others.....but it is not power lines. Laughing

I heard it too.   Not sure what it is - maybe someone out there can let us know.

Hi!  I heard that too...not sure what it was.  I also thought the reflective lines were power lines when I first saw them.  Strange that there is reflection only part of the time.

I'm going to go to the sounds page and see if I can find that sound again.

Good Day everyone. Not sure what causes the stripes on NK camera cover but I saw it when it happened earlier today. It "dropped" like it does when the power surges and when zoomie corrected it, they were there. I imagine something smudging. Hope this helps.

Edit to add: Cowboy I could see them being spider webs inside the cam casing. You may have solved it. Smile

I said this morning that the rutting was getting tiresome, but I've been thinking, if it's tiresome for us, just imagine how it is for them!   It must be pretty hellish charging around driven mad by hormones for three months.   And yes, for the others trying to get a decent night's kip.  A previous posting said rut is March-May.   Thank goodness it's nearly over!Tongue out

The leopard came for a drink around 9:30 p.m. NK time.  Just before I left for dinner ( 4:30 my time).  The lodge was out looking and I thought they would post?

Hi everyone! See we have the "power line" effect back on cam. I think Lady's Mom is correct. We have seen this many times in the past and it seems certain settings and the tilt of the cam creates the phenomenon. LOL

Hi, could be but it always looks similar. Wonder how many years a spider web stays intact. heehee

I put the cam on full screen and you can see the lines going down to the right it just might be a reflection of the cam looking like a spiders web to  But then again i looked at a pic of a horse and a lil boy and thought he was feeding him carrots was sun glare.. Smiling :)

Well, I see nothing happened while I watched Ugly Betty. Now I've got about 45 minutes until LOST is on. Y'hear that, Leopard? Come back before 4:00!
