Thanks Cowboy and Howwa. I had wondered where Barry had been, good to hear it was the laptop and not him. Bet he may argue with me on that tho.

I am sooooooooo thankfully that this area rarely has threats of them.

When i lived in Texas i sat in my livining room and watched 7 twisters touch down and when i thought it was all over with i went outside looke up and was looking into a vortex right over my head, But it didn't touch down! As Alf would say "True story"

Sounds like a windy, rainy night at NK.   Just had some babs having a little spat at EP.   Rainy but not so windy there.

I wish there were a search option with these forums.

So, here's a question that's probably been answered a thousand times.  Sorry.

What is the helicopter transporting?  Visitors?  Supplies?

Thanks, Linda

The ranger told us that it is the owner of the lodge that flies in and out on the heliocopter.

Linda, they have a search option at the upper right.  I think I heard it mentioned it was a recent addition.  I haven't tried it yet.

It looks as though there are several things alive and moving. My eyes and the wind are playing tricks on me.

2:55 am CAT NK

Good morning all.  Cowboy I live in Houston, TX we hae a few tornadoes around like mostly near Katy.  A few have touched around the Westheimer area but have missed us.  Thank God I always get a little nervous because you just don't know where they will go.

Been windy all day every since this morning but I don't see the trees blowing. Jus hear the wind.

Have they been working on anything at NK?  I heard a lot of banging and knocking this morning.

We had a twister that killed 5 people in Vancouver, Washington back in the seventies believe it or not. (Passed over Portland with no damage to speak of first, crossed the Columbia River and whammo)  Passed just a few blocks from our home.  They had another one a few months ago....really rare!
