No appearance by the shy rhinoceri I see.    Glad I didn't wait around any longer than I did.  That mic in the marula tree may be more trouble than it's worth with it's titillating sounds.

Hi KeeKee.  Your post made me laugh out loud.  Funny stuff.

Have a wonderful time with your family, especially your grandchild.  They grow so fast.  Too fast, really.

Servals are georgous, I did once run across an article that someone crossed a african serval a domestic and something else which made it worth something like $24,000 I don't agree at all with doing that to animals esp for human pleasure but it made for one of the most beautiful cats you ever saw.

I have to tell you. Being alone in the house I have the volume cranked up on both computers I had been working in the kitchen so was watching there, after finishing up I decided to shut that down and pull it up in my room which I did first as I got to the kitchen to shut it down the jackals sounded off.  there is a 3-4 second delay between the 2 computers so I ran back in the hallway mid way between the computers and heard the seranade from both computers with that delay it was absolutely AWESOME!  Laughing

OK back to work for me, my son and his wife will be here tomorrow with my grandson who I havn't seen since he was 5-6 weeks old and now is 8 months so I'm baby proofing the house, esp the room they are staying in.

Hi Penzi.  I had just gotten back from a dog walk and ran back out to place some recycling paper in a bin.  When I got back my dog was pacing nervously and the jackals were calling full blast, lol.  I must remember to turn the sound down next time if I run out and leave my little fuzzball behind.

Hey guys and girls....missed you all. For some reason I was viewing Africam at work on Thursday and all of a sudden I couldn't get it anymore. I have checked my settings, I"ve even made it anallowed site, though I didnt' have to do that the last time. Even shut off firewall and norton for a minute to see if that was it. I can get everywhere else, but I can't get the africam.com. Any ideas? The explorer page comes up, the normal can't get this site one. I even downloaded FF to see if that worked. Can't get it there either. I have comcast cable at work and all was fine up until mid day Thursday.

Sounds like a good party at the lodge.   I just let my friend in Victoria listen to it over the phone.

Alf, I just bought the soundtrack to Out of Africa last night.   Haven't even listened to it yet.   That's the movie where Robert Redford spoke to me.   I went to see it on a New Year's Eve when it first came out, because saddo here had nothing better to do.   In the movie is a New Year's Eve scene where RR looks out of the screen and says "Happy New Year Karen".     I was gobsmacked, and it's made for a good story ever since.
