Wavelit streaming Nkorho & EP again????????

I noticed that wavelit is carrying the Nkorho & EP streams. There is absolutely no mention of Africam.

Does this mean that wavelit is sponsoring the streams now instead of Africam?

Wavelit has also "stolen" a bunch of videos off Youtube, from some of the users here & from other forums. Nobody has been given credit for these. And these people put a lot of work into editing & putting the clips together. I think this is very rude & dishonest. If you have clips on Youtube, you may want to check the wavelit site to see if they ripped off your clips. I am sorry to see that Africam has renewed their relationship with a company that has such underhanded practices.

very disappointed Africam Watcher. Sad

Thank You Janine.

Mr Bacon wouldnt have to go through so much trouble if he'd just use the embed code. Which is there for a reason.  Gives credit to the person making the video and Gives Mr Bacon less headache and and more time to do the fun things in life..

New Blog Announcement on Wavelit

YouTube Videos

Anyone who has a video posted that they created can send me the video link and we can do one of two things;
We can Edit the credits and post proper credit to the creator,
we can delete it.
In the first case, I would need the required info.
In the second place, a click of my mouse and it will be gone.

No one at wavelit has claimed any credit for these videos.
They were uploaded to share with our viewing audience as the best we could find.
Pardon our enthusiasm.

LOYAL AFRICAMers - Let's keep it sane and civil.  The folks who are trying to cause discourse on here must not be allowed to succeed.  And if we rise to the bait, they will succeed.  They will be dealt with.

Wavelit may OR may NOT ( We have no info from Africam on this) have the right to the Africam FEED.. the LIVE feed....Africam gives persmission for these recordings due to the fact they have not asked anyone NOT to record and they allow them to be posted on their site.  But that does NOT make it right for a 3rd party to STEAL someone elses hard work and creativity .... Regardless if this 3rd person has a right to the live feed.... They have the right to record THEIR OWN videos.  So step off  Wavelit and record the live feed  yourself if you want videos.  It really IS that simple.    And I do think Africam needs to step in and give people some info or it could really backfire and wind up hurting themselves.

I believe the issues at hand are not between Africam and Wavelit, it is between the people that have created the Videos and Wavelit, as that is where these videos have been placed.

This also does not however mean that all videoes were recorded from Africam Streams, nor does it mean that every member involved is from Africam that are involved in this issue. There are videos of various types there, they are not all of nature or wildlife interests.

While it is all fine and good that Art Bacon FINALLY responds, the fact remains that they took first and explained later.

In defense of Africam, they do not abuse their own priviledge of having rights to individuals videos. Nor do they allow others to claim credit for the hard work of others. What Wavelit did is ethically wrong. I don't care what rights they have. Africam has good ethics. It appears that Wavelit does not. Wavelit should take the video's down and let the authors of them decide when and how they choose to post them.

It's not the matter of who owns the copyright of what is being recorded or snapped as stills from these streams... IT IS the fact that they are being claimed as belonging to some one else(a general member of Wavelit) and also that they are being altered and some are totally misidentified in the descriptions of what was uploaded as well. AND.... there are "special" videos that some members have created from different clips or pics that can only be of their own creations as most all people know, no 2 things of special creativity can be exactly alike. Personally I do not record as I like to snap still pics, but when I see a recording from some one else, I like to call it that I "enjoy" them NOT use them as using them falls in to an entirely different category.
