Cam runs all the time unless a technical problem / power outage.

Satara Cam has a long history. It was originally hosted on Africam's website. I don't remember when exactly it went live but it must have been at the end of 1998 because it was there when I found Africam in January 1999. My first Africam sighting ever was a spotted hyaena at Satara.

A few years later Satara Cam disappeared from Africam. I don't know why and when exactly that happened. It reappeared some years later on SANParks own website.

The cam is just outside Satara camp in Kruger National Park. You can see it from the lawn behind the restaurant/shop/reception complex.
