Wow some equipment! do you drive a Rolls Royce also and do you live in a castle in Copenhagen ? (hehehe joking) that is some heavy equipment you have Katja!. ( are you a proffesional )? ( I think so!)
@ Cerinthe.. lovely picture's ..Espacially because i can imagine that you have to do a BIG search in your handbag to find the camera.
My personal choice for the SX10 was that i travel.. and i rather have a bag full off Bread and Cola Light then a bag full off bodies and lense's.
When i was searching for a new cam firstly my eye was focussed on the Panasonic FZ28.. but in november the SX 10 was brought on the selling market.
In the old days ( 100 years ago) i carried a Pentax with 5 lenses with me and a camcorder..
On my trips at a certain moment i was thinking in myself.. hey ..You are only busy with making foto's and films and you are not even aware what you have to see NOW! while you are here at this place at this time.!
It also happened on a number of occasions to me that i was making a serie of macro shots and that a special event very close happened! ( like an eagle/hawk landing ) so i had to change the macro lens into a tele.lens. and finally when i was ready to take the shot the bird was on his own trip again..
So thats why i choose for a all in one.. from macro to superzoom in one camera.
and YES my old bag wich used to be filled with foto equipment now can be filled with Coca Cola, Choclate, bread, maps and my wallet.
Also i noticed that from all my trips when i was filming i dont look back to often on the films i took with a camcorder.. The one 's i still look at is when the camcorder was pointing at the front window of my rental car and i filmed the complete drive i did.
The shots i took camcording while beeing on a steady point is not what i look back often.
and yes i also noticed that i much more like to watch the photo's i took as i do on the camrecording.
So all by all thats the reason i choose the SX10 ( it makes good movies also!)
To Blueeye... I didnt installl the software yet.. i have about 300 test picture's on the cam.
