See if you can be the first to identify the pictures of scat of various animals that are seen on the Africam streaming cams. Let's try one at a time and go from there. We can start with an easy one. Are you ready?

Well I would say Ellie, but I see a human foot in there. You never know. ![]() Rofl and YUK Lea! Ellie dung to be sure, a few days old at least (no steam coming up!!!) because it has been dried out a bit by the sun. Hang on whilst I stick my finger in to test it......yep, it's not very fresh and it tastes like female ellie dung! (ever been caught out by that trick on a Game Drive?) ____________________________Founding Member of the AAA - Africam Addicts Association. Want to learn more about the animals you see on the cam? This looks, to me, very like the dung that is passed by Equus burchelli - Burchell's Zebra - which is the common species of Zebra in the lowveldt in South Africa, which includes the greater Kruger Park area. ____________________________Founding Member of the AAA - Africam Addicts Association. Hippo. I am so confused. I thought zebra had hooves. Yes, zebra have hooves, which makes them an 'ungulate' (hooved animal) They are, in fact, odd-toed unglulates - which means that they have either one or three toes. Zebras have one toe (their hoof) whereas, for example, bufallo's are even-toed ungulates because their hooves are split in two. ____________________________Founding Member of the AAA - Africam Addicts Association.
