Good evening everyone. I was just thinking does anyone know if Pieter shows his pictures somewhere? I would like to see his shots from the wilddogs. Sagresta thanks for the videos and the pictures!! Hi Lily, no bad weather here yet but I think it has started at the other end of the Province.I'm hoping its one of the much talked about storms that pass by. I did go out this afternoon & bought extra candles and batteries....the stores were sooo busy, everyone trying to get a few things to be prepared. My luck it'll start here & the power will go just about drive time :0 As I type the rain has began....not windy yet though. Thanks for asking. __________________

Barb - I was looking at EnvironmentCanada's page a bit ago and was thinking of you in the line of fire there when Noel makes landfall. Are you all prepped? and when do you expect the fireworks to start? You must remember to post here too and let us know you are ok when it is all over.

Thanks guys! I like to pay attention to the more common animals too. The baboons are always fun to watch. Got a kick out of all the buffs laying around together in a big circle, the fish eagle, the bubbling water...I could go on and on.

I often go looking at Bottlenose's site for info, esp. the maps, and also wonder where he has gone. Sag, that was a wonderful video to watch and to appreciate just how many wonderful things we get to see most days, even when we "stay home". I watched that water bubbling into that pan - what a sight there, where water is so lacking - although maybe this storm will be the start of mudholes turning into waterholes. I like the "everyday" things to help me keep perspective for when spectacular things happen - like two wild dog sightings. And thanks for the vids of this morning's visitation...it was magical. I felt so privileged to be on the landie while Rexon was flying Mach 1 down that track looking for them the first time when they went into the bush. Now that I think about it, didn't the tank start to smoke before the next drive? LOL Thanks again for the vids..... |
