Chris,  I have Comcast too and they have TV Planner on the web.  Here it is on channel

13 PBS WNET

It is at 8:00 pm and in the listing it only shows "Nature" in that time slot, unless you click on it and then it gives the correct title and description.

hey, all I did was create a new day, one of the ;mods was running around locking them as quickly as I put them up! I didn't even get a chance to direct the conversation at the NK and EP thread discussion to a new page before it got locked. I got the red can't post message myself Smiling

Hi Gang......glad to see EmC posted a reminder of that "Lions of the Desert" show on PBS tonight.     I used to have (used to) some stunning satellite pics of sand blowing out over the Atlantic from these desert areas.   Went searching and found just a couple of links......but if you do an image search you will see the fantastic dunes there (Namibia).    Look forward to seeing how these lions live there.

Hope it will be ok to put these 2 links here:

Karen, I caught the end of it, thanks!

Lions are amazing - Has anyone seen the program on the "Swamp Lions"? It's amazing how they can adapt to whatever conditions are thrown at them..Pretty darned incredible!

Hey WC,
Yes it is amazing how they can adapt to the different terrains.

If I remember correctly, our Pieter is from Namibia too. We could share with him how some of us watched this program on them tonight. Bet he has kept up with them some too.

I enjoyed that program.  Wish it was longer!

I was thinking of Pieter too while watching it.  Explains why he likes to visit the desert on holiday, LOL.

Hey Karen !  I think I posed that theory about Pieter being from Namibia when I first posted the info about the programme.   I was sure I had heard that somewhere, so  if you think so too, then we must be right....LOL.      It starts here in 1 hour 45.....can't wait.....glad to hear it was a good show.

Lily, thank you so much for posting that.  I would have not know about it.  Guess it comes on in your area a little later so don't want to ruin it for you (see I remember, at least for now).

Didn't know that.  He'll find lots of reptiles there so he'll be thoroughly entertained.

Hiya Ingwe, Saggers and Lily!

Oh it was awesome no doubt and like Sag, sure wish it was longer than 1 hour. Can't wait til rest of you see it, so we can make comments about it. Smiling

Yep Lily, Pieter has talked of Namibia and when he was a young boy with his dad going out in the desert.

Hey, it's ok guys......discuss away......there's not going to be suspense like for DWTS.....but thank you for remembering us in the west....    EmC wants to know if she needs tissues - ie - is there farmer-lion competition sort of stuff and conflict that goes badly for our furry friends.......

I'm glad it was a good programme, I'm looking forward to watching it!

I have only been car sick once in my whole life.  Driving over sand dunes in Namibia - none of my family ever got car sick, except for that one time
