I went back to look at the pictures that were taken on 10-7-06.  There were 8 pages of pictures.  They had pictures of an African Wild cat that I had not seen at this WH.  Tons of wildlife came that day.  Wonderful to see and remember.

Good for you Janni, sounds like you will have a ball. The wildlife is slow due to the recent rains and puddles all over. Animals don't need the waterholes quite as desperately now. Hopefully they will all want baths soon and will start showing up again. Well, must get some laundry done before I have no clean underwear to put on.

ROFL - Oh Lea that is so funny - What kills me when we travel together is we have to stop every 15 mins for Jim..for either coffee or toilet..and he is not the type who can go on the side of the road...This should be fun !!! Yes - I think what you are discribing is in Arizona & or Nevada - we will probably head there first...I hope that Mike who seems to have traveled there can give us a good idea about the weather this time of year..would like to try to miss the snow in the mtns as we pass thru..

Well - he has to be out at noon on Nov 1st !! So if his passport renewal is back plans are to leave then...I just can't imagine being ready...A lot of his stuff is already in storage - did that to stage things for condo sale..now just the rest of furn & kitchen stuff.. He plans on buying when we get back and prices will be lower. This is kind of his last hurrah - don't know if you remember that I care for him since he had his stroke 3 yrs ago...he can't talk well & I am the only one who really can understand him..& his walking is REALLY slow due to rt side paralysis - so have to get some kind of scooter - We want to visit all the zoos and he can't do all that walking & I can't push a wheelchair (He won't sit in one either - he's only 53) anyway - that's my catchup...I couldn't get back on here for a while - finally changed password & I'm back...Penny sent me pics and the info on her trip & Gabby's updates...It seems the wildlife is disappearing - is that normal in the spring??? Any other News??? I hope I can log on here when I'm on the road ! 

Janni, Your trips sounds exciting to me.  My hubby and I drove through out the west.  We got to where they made the old westerns and saw wild horses run across the road right in front of us.  Only think is there was no place to go to the bathroom.  If you used the side of the road people would see you for miles. LOL
