Pam, from the little bit I know...the larger cats won't come to eat on the buffalo....unless, they are desperate for food. This buff died on his own time and, as nature would have it, it's for the scavengers to 'dispose' of. And, yes...Pieter said bye with regrets. Somehow I missed this post. I apologize. Glad I went back to read the posts today. Thank you for letting me know. __________________

I don't get it either Karen. I hate to gripe, really I do but be straight with us so when we click for a long time to get on drive at least we know or have an idea just what or how long the drive might be....tell us the drives are going to be shorter......stop drives for a few days until landie gets in good working order....give these guys a break so they aren't always having to apologize to us for ending early. Thanks Rex and Pietre, good drive! __________________

Nobody has announced anything. Guess Jan is on leave? Is the drive over? We've been at the dam for quite some time....? (Hi Karen!! Hope you're doing well!!)
Yup! It's been cancelled - battery problems again! during the morning drive, pieter said they were having mic problems at control center.. so hayley was not able to communicate with us much at all. jan did talk to us before he left, but there was lots of squelch with his mic. maybe it pooped out or hayley don't want to fight with it.... who the heck knows. __________________

as much as I hate to bring further bad luck to them, we supposedly have "new" batteries, so not getting why we are still having all these battery problems. other day rexon said something about the alternator belt nade a noise when he shut vehicle off. if it is loose that can cause probs with the regular vehicle battery as well as mess up a starter with them not getting charged properly with the lose or old alternator belt. so wondering here if we are having a problem with both types of batteries... landie running and getting feed out to us ones. hope between rexon and pieter.. they are handt enough with vehicles that they can sort these issues out. maybe can get help from mechanics at djuma lodge too. __________________
