Hi Everyone--I am sure Helen & Nick are fine.  They went looking for the cubs.  It would be nice if they found them and said all was OK.  Which one of you shot that goose.  Woops spoke to soon.  He is starting again.

So there was no news? I just reconnected....surprised that I could get on. It sure would be nice to know if Nic & Helen made it back OK. Jan had said earlier that they would go on with the drive using the spot light but something happened after that with the radio contact.

Yes Audrey - They have not yet said the ride was over..I'm pretty sure they said they'd get back to Nick & Helen - then nothing..& they were zooming around since then,...I do notice tho that Jan does sound uncomfortable on the mike (smile) and may have got busy since it was later..well non here - better get something done - Take care and maybe see you on the morning drive..I hope access is cleared up by then (smile)

when i was watching the drive ,it look like the spot light went out then the head lights and they lost radio contact with nick & helen.

no one has come back on to say thing about them getting back ok, but i am sure they did but it would have nice to hear something.  and this poor goose has been doing this noise for a long time now.

was just thinking, the excitement of buffs at dam at end possibly could have gotten Jan on the mic sidetracked, as he is not used to being the one to talk all the time like Hayley does.
As for Karula's cubs, I AM NOT counting them out, UNTIL we get a confirmation. Karula is a very smart and protective Mom, her cubs did really well when hyaenas came around with previous kill of impala. I truly enjoy the updates on the WE Blog, but as much as I don't like saying it, I think AND PRAY that they have jumped the gun on Tyson possibly killing the cubs. Yes, that is what happens in the wild, but I truly hope the cubs were far enough away from the tree Karula put kill in. She had to make a quick decision possibly, because the hyaena was getting so close.

I missed the tail end of nick and helen on cam. what exactly was said audrey? I'll have to go look at the vid to see, but didn't some one say that it was said they were having problem with the night vision lens for the rest of evening drive?

What ever that bird is, is the one making that noise, I believe zoomie was looking around tring to figure out why it is making the calls. It hasn't stopped yet, so could be calling out for mate or something.

good to FINALLY know what has made the noises that we did not know from last week for sure too.
