I hear people. Is this W.H. fairly close to one of the lodges?

Gowrie dam is directly in front of the Vuyatela Lodge on the Djuma reserve.

also the Gowrie dam is 5km from Nkorho pan , as the crow flies (or as the animals walk) or 12 km by road.
that is approx. 5 miles by crow and 7.5 miles by road

Also if the night picture on the WildEarth Vuyatela cam showed the whole dam any animals would be too tiny to see. Even at this current view the ellie herd the other night looked very tiny. At the present time i am seeing a clear lighted view of both sides of the Dam.

Not sure what you mean by the scale. The WH is larger, but most of it isn't lit at night. The dancing pixels look like bigger blobs than the dancing pixels I'm used to.
Oh, okay Granny, and thanks. I'll have to wait until I see something to determine what the scale is. I thought since you were saying it would be hard to see anything smaller than a Wildebeest, that you meant because it would appear smaller. But I guess what you meant was that the image resolution isn't as good at night.

How long ago did the drive end?

I have only been able to get feed (yesterday and today) when it is on the dam, and can't really make out if it is live, as I haven't seen anything there yet.

Granny, it sounds like maybe the scale is not the same as Nkohro, is that what I am understanding?

It's down in front (or back) of what Pieter calls "the camp."

I look forward to seeing Helen's camera work. The picture at the dam (we've been calling that WH the dam to reduce confusion with the Nkorho WH) has been blurry and my eyes are getting old, so I've stopped watching it and just watch the drives. I don't think I could make out anything smaller than a Wildebeest.
