Yikes Lady's Mom, glad that your bite isn't infected. Poor Abby though. We don't have dogs in the house but we have 3 cats, luckily they all get along with each other most of the time.

My six year old granddaughter spent Christmas in the hospital with pneumonia and we almost lost her. Never so frightened in my life.

Oh my Sharon, how horribly frightening that must have been. Hope she is fully recovered by now.

Good grief Lady's Mom! Sorry for the bite. Sad Ouch! I wonder if the ones that have limitations are more prone to be on the offensive? I have a pup (1 of 3 siblings I had someone in another state grab an hour before they were to be put to death). I ended up with two even though they were to be adopted out. One male had deformed hips and we have spent a fortune on him with surgery and he will need another down the road but he seems to want everyone to know he is in charge (he's also turned into being "my baby" heehee). Never really attacks viciously but always acting like he is ferocious. LOL His sister is the real problem. She hordes food and steals everyones' bones and toys. Probably due to them having to fend for themselves at such a young age. The other pup I gave to my granddaughter and she loves him to death. LOL

All my dogs came with behavior problems but so far we seem to keep peace between them and most have worked through their bad start in life.

Sharon you are welcome.

I have never had to deal with any health issues with my grandchildren, knock on wood, so I can only imagine how stressful and worrisome it is.

My grandkids are 18, 16, 14, 13, 9 and 2 months.

Statements done....THAT should appease the boss until this afternoon! LOL

We have a 3 yo granddaughter....not ours by blood but our son has been with her mother since mom was 4 months pregnant with her.  She is ours is every way that matters.  If one keeps us on our toes like she does, I cannot imagine what 3 or more might do!

We also have 3 puppers in our household.  Our deaf gal goes into "stalk" mode without provocation & we've had some horrendous fights, too.  The most recent was Christmas Eve with all the family around.  That was VERY scary.  I wound up getting bit (again) as did the dog she went after.  Mine is healing.....Abby's is infected so on antibiotics. :(  There are really for sure NO dull moments with multiple furkids in the household!  Thank heaven the cats can run faster than a couple of the dogs or we'd have blood flowing THERE as well! LOL  Gotta love 'em.

Hello to you too Marble! We certainly can learn from these glorious creatures in the Wild! All my grandchildren so far have an enormous love of animals. I gave my granddaughter a rescue pup that she absolutely adores and I remember the day my grandson called me crying that a tree had come down in his yard and had killed the woodpeckers that were nesting there. A couple of the babies had survived. He begged me to save them so we went and picked them up, fed and tended to their wounds, called a wildlife rescue in another city that came and retrieved them the next day. It was so awesome to find out that those babies lived to be released back into the wild. Smiling

Hey gang. I've decided that I shall be purchasing a pair of headphones for work and start going on the drives with all of you. Well, that is, if I get on.

Aquila, best wishes to your daughter. I am so sorry for your losses. Sometimes I wonder if we all love the wild so much because these animals live through so much loss and danger, yet continue to live in each moment grazing, playing, loving...

Well, I'm at work, but just wanted to say HELLO to everyone.

Smiling
