The Cheetah Plain is down below Nkorho in that part of Djuma they don't do much with as of yet.

Cheetah Cutline is not far from Buffleshoek Dam.

august 21-pm drive.....
-1 Female Leopard, (Ripapae Female) was found at Cheetah Plain Pan. She was walking south and west through the woodland following the scent of another leopard that would have past through the area recently.

august 23-am..... info on white cloth+karula and mafufanyane..
-1 Female Leopard, (White Cloth) was found moving north along Cheetah cultine. She was salivating profusely and it was assumed they had to be another Leopard in the area. She was followed as she scent marked and vocalized her territory. It wasn't long before the calls of another Leopard were heard not far away and within minutes another female Leopard appeared. It was Kurula and the two Leopards locked eyes on one another and growled for 20 minutes before moving off in opposite directions. The drama continued after we left the Leopards when a 3rd Leopard, (Mafufanyane Male) was found on Cheetah cutline following the scent of the Leopards. He was moving straight towards where we had left the White Cloth female whom he located not long after. After eying him out carefully, White cloth approached the big male and after a short "flirt" the two started mating. They mated every few minutes for the next half-hour before moving to rest in the shade of a Weeping Wattle tree.

***no further updates from august 24th am drive.

It coulda been our girl Karula!  I ask before but got no answer.  Is she the only female leopard that we know of at Djuma?  I don't recall another one, but do recall 3 different males.

Don't forget White Cloth, altho we haven't seen her in quite a while, plus... I've seen another one mentioned in ranger's reports that we have not seen yet. gonna go fetch that info to share.

Would that be the camera batteries or the vehicle batteries?  I keep getting confused.
my guess is the batteries in the cage on back that puts the feed out to us. so guess not the actual camera or vehicle batteries. I know SAG, it's hard to keep up with it any more, but feed was freezing on us last part of the drive tho.

Agree Sag! She's amazing! I think all the rangers think so too... they seem to really love and respect her. Smiling

I hope it's not Karula with those lions so close. If it is, I hope the cubs are safely tucked away somewhere.

Karual is the only female I have heard mentioned at Djuma.
