Drive time is usually around 9:30 pm.(CST) I believe Auntie Lyn had some Leopard footage but I'm not sure what day it was from.

jandd86, I think the pictures are of Nyalas.  They look very similar to the kudu.  Matter of fact, it was yesterday or the day before that Pieter showed us a Nyala and I thought it was a kudu.  I looked them up and the Nyala are a little different - but not much.  If you go to the mammal database and look the two up, you will see the difference.  That's what I had to do.Smile

Thanks Bob, but these were definitely Kudu.  Saw them just before they started fighting, had the very long, very curly horns and double checked on the database.

I could be wrong, but they don't look like the kudus we see at NK.  The kudus we see at NK don't have the distinctive white line down their backs like the Nyala do.  The pictures you posted look just like the one Pieter called a Nyala on the drive.  Also, there was a herd of Nyala at the Djuma watering hole today.  That's when I learned what the female Nyalas look like.

That was what caught my eye Yomama. I've seen the nyala males before and noticed that these horns were most definitely spiral, not at all like I had seen on the nyala, that's why I looked it up in database. Now I'm no expert, but that was the conclusion I came to.  Maybe Pieter can clear it up later.

At the moment Gareth is shooting an Impala every 2nd morning before game drive so by the time he gets up and does the dirty deed his guests are sipping coffee and munching muffins - then he has to have a shower before he gets to them so his day is being extended somewhat.  At least the cheetah gets fed!
