Would you be interested in an Africam Ads Free Subscription Service?

The ads that accompany the webcams have completely ruined my viewing experience and I've been an Africam member for some years now - I used to enjoy the feeling I was almost right there in Africa with the wildlife - NOT in someone's kitchen, as it is now with all these domestic commercials!!! :( 

I feel that somehow we are being pressured into paying for the privilege of being able to watch wildlife without the annoyance of ads popping up everywhere - this is not the way to attract people to your site - it seems rather vulgar in fact.  Sorry but I am not happy to subscribe in this manner!

I am stuck in the middle on this one. If affordable would consider it as I do loathe the adverts.

i couldnt afford to pay for a ads free  site so no i dont care to have the ads...

I would be VERY interested.   What an excellent idea this is; however, I am grateful for the opportunity to view the African scenes and animals with ads for free.  Of course, if it's like a zillion dollars a year, that would be outrageous, but I would consider up to US$50 for a period of time, like a year, for the privilege to view any of these cams sans ads.

Hello everyone ~ Personally I really don't mind the ads. I feel that if we didn't have the ads right now, there would not be AFRICAM and we would be missing all of the great action that is available to us right now.  So, I have no definite answer to the survey.  I might try and see how it is with the paid subscription.  Would we be able to join monthly or do we have to pay for 6 months or whatever in advance?  As always, thank you to Africam ~ the admin., moderators, camera people and so on for the great job that you do.  PS. . . at least with the ads we can have a bathroom break    Donna

I never get any ads on Africam anyway. I used to but found a simple way to stop them.

is it going to be a perfect stream? I know it says no ads but what about the spining circle?

What about when the cams go down? We all know they can go down for days, any kind of credit? 

It would all depend on the price.

We know you understand that without advertisements we would not be able to bring you these live streaming wildlife cameras free of charge, 24x7.

To accommodate those who would like a different experience we are planning on offering an Ads Free subscription service as an alernative. The ads free service will allow you to watch ALL the Africam live streams with NO video ad interruptions for as long as you want. This will mean:

• No more noisy mid roll ads that interrupt your important sightings
• You can switch between cameras without having to see an ad each time
• You can get to a sighting as soon as you are alerted via Twitter or Facebook
• No more clicking on the overlay ads when they block your view of the animals
• Children will not be exposed to advertising
• Uninterrupted  tranquil stereo sound from the African bush
